Gilas Pilipinas U23 women secured a spot in the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup after winning the FIBA 3x3 Nations League-Asia SEA Conference in Malaysia.

The Philippine team clinched the conference title after beating Chinese Taipei, 17-15, in the Stop 6 final, finishing with 510 points — 30 ahead of Chinese Taipei.

Gilas Pilipinas U23 women won Stops 1, 3 and 6 to claim the overall championship and earn a ticket to the world tournament in Wuhan, China.

The Filipinas joined the Philippine U21 men’s team as the country’s representatives in the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup.

The qualification marks another international milestone for Philippine women’s 3x3 basketball as the team secured its place among the world’s top U23 squads.
