Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tim Cone said the national men’s basketball team remains ready to defend its Asian Games gold medal in Japan despite the possibility of entering the tournament with only 11 players.

The Philippines could be without Justin Brownlee when the men’s basketball competition begins in a week, with the naturalized player still completing his medical clearance with doctors in the United States.

Cone, however, remained confident that Gilas Pilipinas can compete for the gold even with a depleted roster.
