

A foreign tourist was injured after being shot by unidentified suspects at around 12:14 a.m. on Sunday along Adriatico Street in Malate, Manila.
According to a report by Boy Gonzales, police identified the victim as Olaf Dewinkel, 44, a German national temporarily staying in the area. He sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg and was immediately rushed to the Ospital ng Maynila for medical treatment.
According to the Ermita Police Station, two suspects were involved in the shooting. The gunman was described as wearing a red jacket and a black-and-gray helmet, while the motorcycle rider was wearing a brown t-shirt, denim pants, and a red helmet. The suspects fled the scene aboard an orange Honda Click motorcycle, heading toward Quirino Avenue.
Authorities launched dragnet and hot pursuit operations to track down the suspects. An investigation into the motive and circumstances of the shooting is ongoing.
