The Binibining Pilipinas organization has officially announced the inclusion of a new candidate in its 2026 roster, following the withdrawal of one of its original contenders.
Genesis Lanuza Durana, a 28-year-old pharmacist from Caloocan City, has been named as the replacement for Candidate No. 3, Nicole Sobria of Makati City, who stepped down from the competition due to personal reasons.
Durana now joins this year’s lineup of candidates vying for the prestigious Binibining Pilipinas titles, marking a significant transition in the competition as it progresses to the next stage.
Her entry comes as the organization continues its preparations for upcoming pageant events, with candidates undergoing training and official activities.
Meanwhile, the organization expressed appreciation for Sobria’s participation, acknowledging her commitment and contributions during her time in the competition.
With Durana’s inclusion, the pageant maintains its full roster of candidates, highlighting the organization’s commitment to showcasing diverse and accomplished Filipinas in one of the country’s most prominent national beauty competitions.
