Filipina beauty queen Gazini Ganados proved she remains a top contender for the inaugural Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars crown after delivering an impressive swimsuit performance during the preliminary competition held at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday, May 28.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2019 semifinalist earned an average score of 9.79 in the swimsuit segment of Preliminary Round 2, placing third among the contestants and drawing praise from several judges.
Ganados received perfect scores of 10 from five judges, including renowned Venezuelan pageant mentor Osmel Sousa, Miss Grand International 2022 winner Isabella Menin, Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova, Thai activist Psi Scott, and internationally known Filipino shoemaker Jojo Bragais.
She also managed to earn a score of 9 from controversial judge Omar Harfouch, who had earlier gained attention online for giving unusually low scores to some candidates.
The swimsuit round was topped by Ghana’s Faith Maria Porter, the MGI 2025 third runner-up, who posted a high average score of 9.88.
Aside from the swimsuit competition, Ganados also impressed in the evening gown segment, where she received an average score of 9.39. She earlier scored 8.01 in the “bare-face” preliminary round.
MGI All Stars is a new international pageant organized by the team behind MGI, led by Thai pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil. The competition features pageant veterans aged 20 to 40, including married women, mothers, and transgender contestants.
Representing the Philippines alongside Ganados are Keylyn Trajano, Alexia Nuñez, Imelda Schweighart, and Miss International Queen 2022 winner Fuschia Anne Ravena.
The competition uses a 70-30 scoring system, with 70 percent coming from judges’ scores and 30 percent from online public voting. The grand finals are scheduled on May 30 and will be streamed live on the PlayTime Entertainment and Grand TV YouTube channels.
