The Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), has launched an online complaint platform that allows consumers to report gasoline stations suspected of violating fuel pricing regulations or experiencing supply shortages, as tensions in the Middle East continue to affect global oil markets.

According to the DOE, the public can submit their concerns through the eReport tab via the eGovPH App.

The feature is part of the eGovPH Complaint Center, which aims to strengthen monitoring and ensure fair service and adequate petroleum supply for Filipinos.

Users only need to select the “Gas Station Concerns” option, fill out the required details, and indicate whether the issue is currently being observed or was previously encountered.

The agency urged the public to report suspicious activities at gasoline stations, including panic buying, fuel hoarding, non-compliance with mandated fuel pricing, unauthorized price increases, refusal to sell fuel, and supply shortages.

Earlier, the DOE said it is coordinating with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to monitor the situation amid the continuing surge in global oil prices.
