The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has raised the passenger fuel surcharge for flights from level 8 to level 19 from April 16 to 30, according to a Wednesday report.
Under level 19, the fuel surcharge will range from ₱627 to ₱1,834 for domestic flights, reported RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort.
Meanwhile, fuel surcharge for foreign flights will range from ₱2,070.77 to up to ₱15,397.15.
According to U.S. media, oil prices have spiked after the US seized an Iranian vessel, damaging peace prospects. Brent crude, the global benchmark for oil prices, rose by 5 percent to around $95 a barrel.
However, for the second week, oil firms have implemented a two-digit price reduction for diesel, now rolled back by ₱24.94.
