Motorists may face another round of fuel price adjustments next week, with the Department of Energy (DOE) projecting increases in diesel and kerosene prices.
According to the DOE Oil Industry Management Bureau, diesel and kerosene prices may rise by ₱1.00 to ₱3.00 per liter, while gasoline prices could either increase or decrease by up to ₱1.50 per liter on Tuesday.
Officials said the final adjustments remain subject to last-day trading results in the global oil market, which continue to influence local pricing.
Industry sources noted that while crude oil prices have stabilized, diesel and other middle distillates have seen upward pressure due to tightening supply conditions.
In the previous week, fuel prices also moved upward, with gasoline increasing by ₱1.60 to ₱1.90 per liter, diesel by ₱0.80 to ₱0.85 per liter, and kerosene by ₱1.20 to ₱1.22 per liter.
Oil companies are required to follow government-set guidelines on allowable price adjustments for weekly fuel price movements.
