Free rides inside Manila North Cemetery began Thursday, Oct. 29, to assist early visitors paying their respects to deceased loved ones ahead of Undas 2026.
Manila North Cemetery Director Daniel Tan said the service will run until Oct. 31, using electric vehicles, locally known as “toktok,” to help visitors move around the cemetery.
Priority will be given to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, people with illnesses, pregnant women and parents accompanied by young children.
Tan said the free ride service will end on Oct. 31 and will not be extended.
Undas, observed on Nov. 1 and 2, is a time when Filipinos traditionally visit cemeteries to honor and remember their departed loved ones.
