

Frederick Go took his oath as the new Secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF) on Wednesday, November 19.
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. administered the oath at the Malacañang Palace.
Go succeeds former DOF Secretary Ralph Recto, who has been appointed as Executive Secretary following Lucas Bersamin's resignation, amid controversies in flood control projects.
Before becoming DOF chief, Go served as Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs (SAPIEA) from January 12, 2024, to November 17, 2025.
Prior to joining the Marcos administration, Go, was a member of the Gokongwei family, served as CEO of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), one of the country's largest developers of shopping malls and residential properties.
Go earned a degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University.
