

Four police officers have been arrested for indiscriminate firing during the holiday season, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.
PNP spokesperson PBGen. Randulf Tuaño reported that the incidents were recorded in the NCR Police Office, Region 6, Region 10, and Region 13, RH 52 Edniel Parrosa reported.
The arrested personnel include one police master sergeant, one senior master sergeant, and two patrolmen.
The four are part of seven total suspects arrested for indiscriminate firing from December 16 to December 26, while three others remain at large. Authorities noted that most of the incidents occurred during drinking sessions and involved intoxicated suspects.
One fatality was recorded after a woman was hit by a stray bullet in Tondo, Manila, on Christmas Day.
