Four of former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.'s co-accused, including former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Bulacan Assistant District Engineer Brice Hernandez, are set to be transferred to the New Quezon City Jail (NCJ) in Payatas, following a commitment order issued by the Sandiganbayan Third Division.
The four officials, Hernandez and engineers Jaypee Mendoza, Arjay Domasig, and Juanito Mendoza, are facing charges in connection with the alleged ₱92.8 million ghost flood control projects in Pandi, Bulacan. They were ordered detained alongside Revilla, who was earlier brought to the Payatas facility.
Revilla previously posted ₱90,000 bail for a bailable graft case handled by the Sandiganbayan Fourth Division, separate from the non-bailable charges he is facing.
The arraignment of Revilla and his co-accused is scheduled on Friday, January 23, after which the court will also hear three omnibus motions filed by Revilla’s camp. Among these motions is his request to be detained instead at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
Authorities have earlier stated that Revilla will remain at the New Quezon City Jail pending the court’s resolution on his motions.
