A former staff member of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), who became a billionaire after establishing four construction companies that bagged multi-billion-peso flood control projects, has reportedly gone into hiding along with her family.
According to RH Val Gonzales’ report, residents in Barangay Pansol, Quezon City, said that the woman—former DPWH employee—has not been seen in their community in recent weeks.
Her family has also deactivated their social media accounts, further fueling speculation about their sudden disappearance.
Documents obtained by DZRH News show that just one of the construction firms linked to the former DPWH staff secured contracts worth no less than ₱4 billion for flood control projects in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, and other provinces.
According to a reliable source, the woman is connected not only to four but to several construction companies, many of which are registered under her and her children’s names. Some of her children, the source added, previously worked as a tricycle driver and a promo merchandiser before suddenly becoming company owners.
A barangay official in Quezon City, who personally knew the former DPWH employee, confirmed that her meteoric rise to wealth has long been the talk of Barangay Pansol.
Among the properties allegedly acquired by the family are:
- Four houses in an exclusive subdivision, each valued at no less than ₱10 million
- A resort in Pangasinan
- A commercial building in Pangasinan
- Several parcels of land
- A warehouse frequently used as a venue for major events
- Rental apartments in Barangay Pansol, Quezon City
The source also revealed that the family frequently travels abroad and is currently believed to be in Paris, France.
DZRH News has already coordinated with DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon and is set to forward the obtained documents to his office for further investigation.
