The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced on Sunday that the first batch of barangays out of the 42,011 total number nationwide have received ₱200,000 each under the “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program.”

The barangays in the following areas have been handed aid:

• Agusan del Sur

• Bukidnon

• Butuan City

• Cagayan de Oro City

• Calapan City

• Camarines Norte

• Camiguin

• Cotabato City

• Iligan City

• Isabela

• La Union

• Maguindanao del Norte

• Misamis Oriental

• Oriental Mindoro

• Naga City

• Ormoc City

• Surigao del Norte

• Surigao del Sur

This is only the first round of aid to be granted to barangays across the nation to strengthen their service capabilities, said the PCO in a statement.

“Sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., patuloy na pinalalawak ang rollout ng programa upang maabot ang lahat ng barangay sa buong bansa at higit pang mapalakas ang lokal na pamahalaan sa paghahatid ng serbisyo,” the PCO said.
