A fire struck a residential area in Malabon City on Wednesday, February 11.

It was reported by RH 23 Edwin Duque that at 11:36 a.m., the fire at C4 Road, Barangay Tañong, was raised to the first alarm. By 12:03 p.m., it was already at the second alarm, and reached the third alarm at 12:36 p.m.

Students from the Tañong National High School were evacuated due to the blaze. In addition, a traffic jam built up along C4 from Navotas and Caloocan, according to Duque.

The Malabon Command Center declared the fire under control by 1:01 p.m. According to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), the fire was completely extinguished by 1:22 p.m.

The PRC had deployed a fire truck and an ambulance to the scene to provide vital firefighting and medical assistance.
