

A fire that broke out in a residential area in Gasangan, Baseco, Port Area, Manila reached third alarm on Saturday, May 30.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire was reported past 11 a.m. and quickly escalated to the third alarm. The first alarm was raised at 11:25 a.m.
The fire reached third alarm at around 11:34 a.m.
At 12:35 p.m., the fire was declared under control, according to the BFP.
After nearly one and a half hours of firefighting operations, the Bureau of Fire Protection National Capital Region (BFP NCR) declared the fire out at around 12:56 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Red Cross immediately deployed firefighting and emergency medical assets to assist responders and affected residents.
No casualties were reported as of posting, while authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
The BFP has yet to disclose the cause of the fire, as well as the cost of damages.
