Filipino travelers will soon enjoy easier access to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that eligible Philippine passport holders may avail themselves of a visa-on-arrival beginning June 25, 2026.

In an advisory issued on June 24, the DFA said Filipino citizens traveling to the UAE who possess a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by the United States, European Union member states, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Canada, or New Zealand will qualify for the visa-on-arrival privilege.

Under the new policy, eligible travelers may choose between a 14-day visa-on-arrival for a fee of 100 UAE dirhams (AED), which may be extended once for an additional 14 days at a cost of AED 250, or a 60-day visa-on-arrival for AED 250, which is not extendable.

The DFA said the measure reflects the strong and longstanding bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE and is expected to provide greater convenience for Filipino tourists, business travelers, and other qualified visitors.

The new arrangement is expected to simplify travel procedures for eligible Filipinos, eliminating the need to secure a UAE visa before departure and allowing them to obtain entry authorization upon arrival in the Gulf nation.

The UAE hosts a large Filipino community and remains one of the most popular destinations for Filipino workers, tourists, and business travelers in the Middle East.
