

Filipino-Italian alpine skier, Francis Ceccarelli, is keeping the Philippines in the spotlight on the international slopes, adding eight more medals to his growing collection following his appearance at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
The 22-year-old skier recently dominated competitions in Montenegro, winning one gold in Giant Slalom and one bronze in Slalom at the National Junior Championships, surpassing fellow Winter Olympians in the process.
Ceccarelli also claimed two additional golds in Slalom in the Entry League FIS 1 and Entry League FIS 2 categories under the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
Earlier, he had earned two silvers in Slalom and Giant Slalom at the National Championships, as well as a silver and bronze at the FIS Kolasin Slalom events.
“I try to bring the Philippine ski high and I am honoured to represent it. Thank you for supporting me, and now we are ready for the next races!” Ceccarelli said, reflecting on his continued success.
With his latest haul, Ceccarelli is proving that his Olympic journey was just the beginning of an impressive career, inspiring young Filipino athletes to dream big on snow-covered slopes worldwide.
