The FEU Tamaraws opened their campaign in the NSAC 2026 College Basketball Campus Tour with authority, dismantling the St. Clare Saints, 72-48, in the tournament’s tip-off game on Saturday, April 11, at the RC Gym of San Beda University.

FEU set the tone early, unleashing a dominant first quarter that saw them build a commanding 22-8 lead. The Tamaraws never looked back, maintaining control through every quarter behind a balanced offensive attack and suffocating defense.

By halftime, FEU had stretched the gap to 38-26, before pulling further away in the third period, 56-33, effectively putting the game out of reach. The Tamaraws continued their steady play in the final frame to seal the 24-point victory.

Kirby Mongcopa led the charge for FEU with 14 points, nine rebounds, and two steals, anchoring both ends of the floor. His all-around effort fueled the Tamaraws’ fast start and sustained dominance throughout the contest.

The win gives FEU an early boost in the campus tour, showcasing their depth and defensive discipline as they look to build momentum in the tournament.

St. Clare, meanwhile, struggled to find rhythm against FEU’s pressure and will aim to bounce back in their next outing against the Arellano Chiefs on Sunday, April 12 at the San Beda University RC Gym.

The FEU Tamaraws will charge next at the Ateneo University Blue Eagle Gym to battle against the Letran Knights on Saturday, April 18.
