The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking information on the whereabouts of Edgardo Feralin Dormido Jr., who is wanted in the United States over alleged child molestation cases in Manhattan Beach, California.

The FBI said Dormido is believed to be currently residing in the Philippines after allegedly fleeing California in 2015 to avoid prosecution.

Authorities said Dormido left the state on July 13, 2015, aboard a flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Taipei, Taiwan, before continuing to Manila.

Dormido was charged on Oct. 9, 2015, in the Superior Court of California for Los Angeles County with five felony counts, including two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger, one count of forcible lewd act upon a child, and two counts of lewd act upon a child.

The FBI said a federal charge for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was filed against Dormido on June 22, 2022, by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, which issued a warrant for his arrest.

The agency said Dormido may still have family members residing in the Los Angeles area.

The FBI urged anyone with information on Dormido’s whereabouts to contact their local FBI office or the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
