A nine-year-old just got one of the best surprises on Valentine’s Day!

A father residing in San Andres Victoria, Tarlac, surprised his son, Ezekiel, with a memorable Valentine’s date on February 14.

Speaking to DZRH Digital in an interview, Les said that he wholeheartedly accepts his second child for who he is. As his wife works abroad, he said that he thought of surprising Ezekiel on the said occasion.

"Siya lang ang madalas kong kasama dahil yung asawa ko ay nasa ibang bansa,” Kuya Les said.

"Tanggap ko naman kung sino siya kaya naisip ko na siya na lang ang ka-Valentine's ko,” he added.

Kuya Les also shared that he planned the surprise for Ezekiel with his other children, stating that their aunt bought the flowers for the latter. Meanwhile, Ezekiel’s cousin was the one who did his makeup for the surprise.

In the video uploaded, Ezekiel could be seen smiling from ear to ear after seeing his father holding a bouquet. The nine-year-old said that this was his first time receiving flowers.

Les shared that Ezekiel, who also goes by the name “Kiela,” was raised by his grandmother in Nueva Ecija and eventually moved to Tarlac when he was five years old. When he returned, Les recalled noticing a difference in Ezekiel’s behavior, specifying that he had become more feminine.

"Message ko lang sa mga tatay na mayroong mga ganitong anak, tanggapin nila kung ano yung pagkatao ng anak nila, hindi magiging masaya ang anak nila kung pipigilan sila sa kung ano sila,” Kuya Les said as a message for fathers in the same situation.

"Hayaan na lang po nila na maging masaya yung anak nila,” he added.
