Shooting victim George Capistrano’s family, friends, and colleagues have called for justice following his death at the hands of two suspects.

According to a Monday report by RH 29 Boy Gonzales, Capistrano was a retired police officer who then served as part of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso’s security detail before he was killed by gunmen on a motorcycle during the early hours of the past Sunday.

The victim was taken to Tondo Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead soon after.

On social media, many urged, “Justice for Sir George Capistrano,” and appealed to police to identify and arrest the suspects at the earliest possible instance.

Capistrano had just retired in December last year, and was described by his colleagues among Domagoso’s security escorts as a disciplined and dedicated enforcer of the law.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway to determine the motive for the crime and seize Capistrano’s killers.

Domagoso offered a motorcycle driver involved in the shooting 48 hours to surrender, as well as a ₱500,000 reward and possible protection under the Witness Protection Program (WPP).
