EXO's Kai is the latest K-pop idol to contract COVID-19.

On Tuesday, his agency SM Entertainment confirmed that Kai tested positive for the viral illness despite completing his two doses of vaccine against COVID-19.

"He has currently halted all activities and is undergoing home treatment in accordance with the guidelines of the disease control authorities," the statement read.

"We will thoroughly comply with the guidelines of the disease control authorities and do our best so that [Kai] can focus on recovery as we consider the health and safety of our artists as a top priority," it added.
