Former Vice President Leni Robredo made history after winning the 2025 mayoral race in Naga City by a landslide, becoming the city’s first female mayor.
In a Facebook post early Tuesday, Robredo expressed her gratitude for the support of Nagueños.
"Thank you very much, my fellow Nagueños, for the big win - 84,259 votes equivalent to 91.6% of those who voted. Thank you also for your support to An Bagong Team Naga!!," said the former Vice President.
Robredo also extended her congratulations to colleagues former Senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan, who are also poised to win in Senatorial race.
Meanwhile, the ML Party-list, led by former Sen. Leila de Lima, ranked number 1 in the city, according to Robredo.
"We are still in euphoric disbelief of Bam and Kiko’s come-from-behind win. All our sacrifices and gambles paid off!!! Thank you to the Filipino people Buhay na buhay ang pag asa," she wrote.
The former VP is the wife of the late Mayor Jesse Robredo, who also served Naga City for a total of 19 years.
