The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) on Friday confirmed that a number of its former officers voluntarily surrendered upon the issuance of their arrest warrants in connection with a case pending in court.
“The concerned individuals peacefully submitted themselves to proper authorities, signifying their willingness to face the charges and undergo the appropriate legal proceedings in accordance with the law,” the police office said in a statement.
The Cavite PPO Director PCol. Ariel R. Red stressed that the Philippine National Police (PNP) will continue to faithfully enforce the rule of law, due process, and accountability, and that the agency does not condone acts that erode the integrity of their ranks.
“The Cavite PPO fully supports the lawful processes of our courts and remains committed to ensuring that justice is served,” he said.
