Filipino actress and comedienne Eugene Domingo is set to star as Doña Victorina in Victorina, a new stage comedy by IdeaFirst Live scheduled to premiere in October 2027.

Written by Jun Robles Lana and directed by Chris Martinez, the production takes inspiration from Doña Victorina, a character featured in Dr. José Rizal’s novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.

The upcoming play will place Rizal’s literary character at the center of a new theatrical interpretation, with Domingo taking on the role.

Victorina is part of IdeaFirst Live’s 2027–2028 season, which features two other announced productions: Die Beautiful: The Musical and Teorya ng Mga Tanong.

Moreover, the IdeaFirst Company has likewise revealed that a fourth original production is in development, although details have yet to be disclosed.

IdeaFirst Live has previously staged About Us But Not About Us and Anino sa Likod ng Buwan.
