Social media personality and content creator Elma Asagra, popularly known as Mam Elma, confirmed her breakup with longtime boyfriend and fellow content creator Gavin “Sir Geybin” Capinpin, ending their seven-year relationship.
The announcement came through an emotional Facebook post that immediately gained traction online, prompting an outpouring of reactions from fans collectively known as “ELGA.”
In her statement, Elma revealed that the couple had exhausted all efforts to save their relationship before mutually deciding to part ways.
“We really tried our best to work things out. Yes, nakikita ninyo kaming masaya on-cam, pero sa likod ng camera, we also have our own problems and struggles na kami lang ang nakakaalam. Nilaban po namin hanggang sa huli,” Elma wrote.
Addressing speculation surrounding their breakup, Elma stressed that their relationship was genuine and not merely created for online content
“What Gavin and I had was real. Dumadating po siguro talaga 'yung time na hindi mo na maramdaman 'yung mutual feelings. Sa love, kailangan parehas kayong nagmamahal," she said.
She also denied rumors linking the breakup to a third party, explaining that photos circulating online had been taken out of context
“Magkaibigan po sila, nabigyan lang po ng malisya ang mga kumalat na pictures based sa kung ano lang po ang nakikita. Please don't make any judgments or spread fake news without confirmation," Elma clarified.
Breakup Comes Weeks After Health Scare
The confirmation comes just weeks after Sir Geybin's hospitalization, which alarmed fans and sparked widespread concern online. In early June, his family and Elma disclosed that the vlogger had been dealing with emotional stress, personal pressures, and family responsibilities before being rushed to the hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties and body stiffness.
At the time, Elma shared that Sir Geybin had been carrying heavy emotional burdens, including family obligations and concerns about their relationship. She revealed that he had previously opened up about feeling overwhelmed by pressure and uncertainty about the future.
Sir Geybin Previously Denied Cheating Allegations
Prior to the breakup announcement, Sir Geybin publicly denied cheating allegations that surfaced online following his hospitalization.
In a vlog uploaded on June 7, the content creator dismissed rumors that a third party caused problems in his relationship with Elma
“Guys, hindi po kami naghiwalay,” he said at the time, while also clarifying that individuals linked to him online were merely friends and that Elma was aware of those friendships.
He further appealed to netizens to stop spreading unverified claims, saying that several innocent people had been dragged into the controversy.

Despite the separation, Elma expressed gratitude for the years they spent together and the memories they created as a couple
“Gavin, it has been 7 wonderful years. I learned so much from our relationship, and I will always value the time we shared together. You have been such an important part of my life," she wrote.
