In an exclusive interview on DZRH TV's Matchpoint, Filipino-Korean athlete Elijah Kim opened up about his experience joining the Criss Cross King Crunchers and adjusting to his new team.

“It was a surge of emotions; I mean, it kinda hit all at once. Obviously, there was a lot of joy; there was also a feeling a little bit of being overwhelmed, but [I] just felt super blessed and super fortunate,” Kim shared.

He added, “You know, the Rebisco family has been really, really good to me so far. But it was just that feeling of ‘Okay, like, the dreams have turned to reality.’”

When asked why he decided to join the team, Kim said, “I think it was the guys. I came here in the beginning of January and started training with Criss Cross pretty much right away, and right off the bat, the guys were just super welcoming of me. They kinda welcomed me with open arms.”

He continued, “These guys made the transition really easy for me, especially with their, you know, being a slight language barrier there. They just made that transition really easy.”

Criss Cross King Crunchers officially welcomed Elijah Kim as their newest setter on February 8, sharing the announcement on their social media pages.
