Filipino gymnast Eldrew Yulo secured a place in the finals of the floor exercise after finishing second in the qualification round of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Osijek on Thursday.

Yulo scored 14.200 points in a strong showing against a field of 52 competitors, enough to clinch the second-best mark and advance to the event finals.

The performance marks another breakthrough for the younger Yulo, who continues his steady rise on the international stage following a double bronze-medal finish at the World Cup leg in Cairo, Egypt, earlier this month.

The younger Yulo still has more work ahead, with the second half of the qualification rounds set for April 10 as he continues his campaign in Croatia.
