

A 66-year-old woman was injured after she slipped and fell into knee-deep floodwaters along a portion of EDSA in Pasay City on Monday, August 17.
The elderly woman sustained facial injuries, leaving her face bloodied, while reportedly looking for a ride to get to work in Taguig City, according to a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort.
According to the victim, she lost her balance and hit her face on a piece of metal, causing her injury.
The Pasay Vehicular Traffic Investigation Section provided first aid to the victim and convinced her to seek further medical attention at a hospital.
Meanwhile, knee-deep flooding was reported along the affected portion of EDSA in Pasay City, leaving commuters struggling to find available transportation and forcing some passengers to wade through the floodwaters.
