The EDSA Busway served over 66 million passengers last year, marking a significant increase from the 63 million passengers logged in 2024, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
In a statement on Monday, the DOTr said that a total of 66,669,287 passengers used the EDSA Busway in 2025, up from 63,022,953 passengers in 2024.
The highest number of monthly passengers was recorded in December 2025 at 6,530,415, while the highest single-day passenger count was logged in April 2025.
Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez said the agency will carry on with its efforts in improving the busway, making trips more comfortable and faster for passengers.
“Marami pa tayong improvements na gagawin, tulad na lang ng mas modernong Kamuning Busway station, at tatlo pang bagong istasyon ng busway ngayong 2026 para masigurong mas maginhawa at mas mabilis ang biyahe ng mga pasahero,” he said.
Since June 2020, the EDSA Busway Project has served a total of 341,307,843 passengers.
