The easterlies will continue to affect the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the Visayas on Friday, July 3, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, according PAGASA.

PAGASA said the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Aurora, and Quezon may experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warned that severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides, especially in vulnerable areas.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Maysak (formerly "Henry") remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). As of 3:00 a.m., it was located 1,095 kilometers west of Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 60 km/h and gusts of up to 80 km/h, while moving west-southwestward at 15 km/h.

PAGASA said the tropical storm is not expected to directly affect the country's weather at this time.
