The easterlies are affecting the country on Monday, March 2, according to the state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 4 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

For wind and coastal water conditions, Northern Luzon will have moderate winds moving northwest to southwest, with moderate coastal waters.

The western sections of Central and Southern Luzon will experience light to moderate winds moving northwest to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving northeast to north, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Meanwhile, no low pressure area is being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
