The easterlies continue to affect Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on Thursday, June 18, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Based on PAGASA's 4 a.m. weather bulletin, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, the Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental may experience isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms could trigger flash floods or landslides in vulnerable areas.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), which still has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression.
As of Thursday morning, PAGASA said it continues to closely monitor the weather disturbance for possible developments.
