The easterlies are affecting the country on Friday, May 1, according to PAGASA.

Based on its 4 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also caused by the easterlies.

Meanwhile, no low pressure area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.
