A fire broke out at part of the Ramos compound in Barangay Rosario, Pasig City, early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The Bureau of Fire Protection raised the fire to first alarm upon responding to the incident. The blaze was declared under control and fully extinguished at around 3 a.m, as reported by RH Edniel Parrosa.
Initial reports showed that the fire engulfed several parked, closely lined close vans inside the compound. The area is located near a residential neighborhood, but no houses were affected by the fire.
In an interview with DZRH, resident Imee Gano said the compound is just beside their home, which immediately alerted them and allowed them to evacuate quickly. No injuries were reported.
According to the Pasig City emergency response’s initial findings, the fire may have originated from a 6-wheeler cargo truck. As of writing, authorities are still conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
