MBC Media Group's (MMG) flagship AM station, DZRH, issued an advisory on Saturday warning the public against fraudulent social media posts claiming the media network is offering loans or direct financial assistance packages.
The station clarified that the misleading announcements, which have been circulating online since April 2, are scams. In response, DZRH management has mandated all program anchors to deliver on-air disclaimers starting Sunday, April 5, to protect listeners from potential fraud.
Rudolph Jularbal said in a statement.
The station further emphasized that any legitimate charitable work is conducted exclusively through its long-running "Operation Tulong" program.
Established in the early 1970s, Operation Tulong coordinates medical missions, bloodletting activities, and the distribution of wheelchairs and medical aid alongside corporate sponsors and government agencies.
While the station acknowledged its history of community service—including nationwide operations expanded during the pandemic through the Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) Media Group—it stressed that these efforts are limited and based on strict necessity.
Station officials urged the public to verify information through official channels, including its frequency at 666 kHz, DZRHTV channel on television, its official website, and verified social media accounts under the handle: DZRH News Television on Youtube, @dzrhnews, @drzhtv, and @dzrhdigital.
