Three party-list groups that were proclaimed as the replacements of the Duterte Youth Party-list officially took their oath of office before the 20th Congress.

On Thursday evening, October 2, party-list groups—Ang Probinsyano, Murang Kuryente, and Abono—took their oath of office led by House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III.

This was after the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) finalized the cancellation of the Duterte Youth’s registration papers. The said group had previously won three seats in the 2025 midterm elections.

However, the group was unable to join the House of Representatives after the poll body granted a 2019 petition that alleged Duterte Youth is not a genuine representation of the youth, ruling that they had failed to comply with the accreditation requirements.

During the House session last night, the plenary recognized Robert Estrella of the Abono Party-list, Alfred delos Santos of the Ang Probinsyano Party-list, and Arthur Yap of the Murang Kuryente Party-list.

The three groups would immediately assume position in the 20th Congress.
