Vice President Sara Duterte continues to dominate early voter preference for the 2028 presidential elections, garnering 35.9% support in a nationwide survey conducted by WR Numero Research in March 2026.
The survey results show Duterte with a significant lead over her closest rivals, underscoring her strong national recall and support base more than two years before the next presidential race.
Senator Raffy Tulfo placed second, reflecting his sustained popularity driven by his media presence and public service platform, while Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo ranked third, indicating continued backing from her core supporters despite her loss in the 2022 presidential elections.
However, a notable 19.4% of respondents said they remain undecided, suggesting that a significant portion of the electorate has yet to firmly commit to a candidate. Analysts say this bloc of undecided voters could still shift the dynamics of the race as the election period draws nearer and more candidates formalize their bids.
In the vice presidential race, Senator Bong Go led the field with 12.2%, though with a narrower margin compared to the presidential frontrunner, indicating a more fragmented contest.
Former Senator Grace Poe came in second, maintaining visibility as a potential national candidate, while Senator Robin Padilla placed third, benefiting from his popularity and strong showing in the 2022 senatorial elections.
A larger share of respondents — 26.8% — said they were still undecided in the vice presidential race, highlighting even greater uncertainty and fluidity in voter preference for the second-highest post.
The survey, conducted from March 10 to 17, 2026, covered 1,455 Filipino respondents nationwide with face-to-face interviews.
While early polling offers a snapshot of public sentiment, political observers note that voter preferences may still change significantly as alliances shift, campaign issues emerge, and candidates officially declare their intentions for the 2028 elections.
