The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it will immediately turn over all its data storage devices to the Philippine National Police–Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) for forensic examination, in compliance with a Subpoena Duces Tecum issued by the Office of the Ombudsman.
In a statement, the DPWH said the turnover includes the necessary authority for the PNP-ACG to conduct forensic analysis on the devices. The agency will also submit all documents, records, and files from the office of the late former Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral.
The DPWH stressed that the move is part of its full cooperation with the Ombudsman’s ongoing investigation. It reiterated its commitment to transparency and said it remains ready to provide any additional assistance that investigating bodies may require as the inquiry progresses.
