The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) continues its clearing operations along the Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road in Bangho, Daclan, Tublay, Benguet, after a curtain net collapsed on Thursday due to a soil collapse triggered by days of heavy rain.
The incident caused the closure of the road in the Bangho, Daclan area after a portion of the slope protection gave way.
DPWH personnel are working to clear debris and restore safe passage along the affected road.
The clearing efforts are in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure the safety of motorists and facilitate the prompt reopening of roads affected by the recent inclement weather.
While clearing operations are ongoing, motorists are advised to take alternative routes, including the Suyoc-Baayan-Posos Road and the Ambongdolan-Tuel-Alno-Alapang Provincial Road.
