Two members of the so-called “BGC Boys” or Bulacan Group of Contractors were charged by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for allegedly using fake driver’s licenses to enter a casino.
DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez and LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II filed a complaint for violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code, or falsification of documents, before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office against former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara and assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez.
Lopez also said that persons releasing falsified documents will also face charges, who are now under investigation.
Six years imprisonment and fine of P1 million will be imposed to Alcantara and Hernandez if proven guilty.
Authorities added that other members of the “BGC Boys” are also being investigated and are expected to face similar charges in the coming days.
