Department of Transportation (DOTr) chief Vivencio “Vince” Dizon II will face the Commission on Appointments (CA) to deliberate for his ad interim appointment, a day after the Congress resumes session.
Assistant Minority Leader and CA member Congressman Johnny Pimentel said the CA's Committee on Transportation will convene to deliberate on Dizon’s appointment on June 3.
“The CA’s committee on transportation has set a meeting to consider Secretary Dizon’s ad interim appointment,” he said.
On the other hand, Pimentel also announced that the CA's Committee on Constitutional Commissions and Offices will tackle the ad interim appointments of four other officials on June 4.
These include Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioners Noli Pipo and Maria Norina Tangaro-Casingal will undergo thorough scrutiny by the Commission on Appointments (CA), having replaced Marlon Casquejo and Socorro Inting, respectively; Civil Service Commission (CSC) Commissioner Luis Meinrado Pañgulayan, who succeeded Aileen Lourdes Lizada, and Commission on Audit (COA) Commissioner Douglas Michael Mallillin, who took over the post vacated by Roland Pondoc.
“The public is encouraged to submit to the CA secretariat any information, written reports, or sworn/notarized complaints regarding the appointees,” Pimentel said.
