The Department of Justice (DOJ) has yet to receive any official documents from the United States (US) regarding its formal request for the extradition of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy.

According to the DOJ, no formal extradition request from the US government has reached the department as of this time, RH Tina Nolasco reported.

DOJ officials explained that under the Philippines–United States Extradition Treaty and related laws, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) serves as the primary point of contact for extradition requests from foreign governments.

As such, any formal request from the US must first be received and processed by the DFA before it is transmitted to the DOJ for appropriate legal action under Philippine law.
