The Department of Health (DOH) Eastern Visayas released its latest Ligtas Christmas Bulletin showing a total of eight firework-related injuries, 421 road traffic injuries, and 191 non-communicable disease cases recorded as of Monday, December 29.

Health officials reminded the public that safety remains a shared responsibility, especially during the busy holiday season. The DOH urged residents to practice responsible driving, avoid illegal fireworks, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and limit alcohol intake to prevent accidents and illnesses.

As New Year celebrations approach, the agency continues to promote the #LigtasChristmas2025 campaign, encouraging everyone to choose safety and make responsible decisions to help save lives.
