Podcast Dogshow Divas on Wednesday expressed gratitude for former beauty queen Joy Barcoma’s time spent as guest co-host after she announced her departure.
“Maraming salamat, Jusa! Super grateful ang buong Dogshow Divas family for all the time, energy, tawanan, at kalokohan you’ve shared with us!” read a post from the podcast’s official Instagram page.
Joy said on Monday that she was leaving the podcast to “protect her peace” following “comments about (her) guestings” at the podcast, although she did not elaborate on the nature and sentiments expressed in the said comments.
In response, Dogshow Divas said they do not condone the “hate” Joy has been receiving and backed her decision to step away and prioritize her wellbeing.
“We will never condone or tolerate hate in any form. Your peace and well-being should always be protected. Thank you for being such a special part of this beautiful journey,” read the statement.
“We will always be rooting for you, Jusa!”
On August 31, Joy said she was aware of the comments made about her frequent guestings on the popular podcast, and clarified that she does not control how often she appears on it.
“Today, I’ve decided to step away from Dogshow Divas. Nabasa ko ang comments about my guestings. I’ve always been grateful whenever I’m invited to join podcasts when my schedule allows, but how often I appear isn’t something I personally control,” she said.
The former beauty queen thanked their supporters and wished Dogshow Divas all the best.
