

A dog was rescued alive during search and rescue operations at a collapsed building under construction in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, authorities said Tuesday.
According to reports from the site, responders spotted the dog emerging from the rubble while operations were underway. The animal was immediately secured and brought to safety by members of the rescue team.
The dog is now under the care of responders and will undergo a thorough medical examination under the supervision of the Angeles City Veterinary Office.
Authorities have since officially ended search and rescue operations at the site after confirming that no signs of life remain. Retrieval and clearing operations are set to begin on Tuesday, May 26.
As of latest reports, the incident has resulted in four deaths, while 17 individuals were earlier reported trapped or missing, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Central Luzon.
