From March 5 to April 25, a total of 7,674 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their dependents have safely returned to the Philippines after deciding to leave the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict in the region.

Of this count, 7,051 were assisted by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW)—5,669 of which were OFWs and 1,382 dependents.

On Saturday morning, April 25, 36 more OFWs and two of their dependents arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 aboard separate commercial flights.

They were welcomed by DMW and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) personnel, who provided the repatriates with financial assistance, transport service, and temporary accommodation.

In accordance with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive, the government continues to improve its repatriation and reintegration programs to ensure repatriates’ safety and support them as they start afresh back in the country.
