Dizon inspects unfinished public hospital in Laguna
by Jim Fernandez10 April 2026

During his ocular inspection of infrastructures in Laguna, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon noted that a public hospital had been left unfinished, according to a Friday report.

In a report by RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort, Dizon was accompanied by Laguna Governor Sol Aragones in his personal evaluation of the state of the province’s healthcare facilities.

Among the structures inspected by the DPWH chief was the unfinished Laguna Medical Center, which was started in 2021. While in the hospital, Dizon noted that two patients were sharing a single bed.

Aragones said he will see that this project is completed within the year so that locals may benefit from the use of its ward or emergency rooms, adding that the DPWH abandoned the project for unknown reasons.

The public works chief vowed to allocate funds for the hospital’s completion, which may be finished by next year.
