House prosecutor Chel Diokno is representing the prosecution panel during the oral arguments on the disputed voting threshold for Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial on Wednesday, September 23, the 29th day of the proceedings.

Lead prosecutor Gerville Luistro informed the Senate impeachment court of the change, saying De Lima is attending to an urgent matter.

“The honorable Leila de Lima is currently addressing a very important and urgent concern, and in this regard, it will be honorable Congressman Chel Diokno who will be representing the prosecution panel,” Luistro said.

Meanwhile, Atty. Michael Poa is representing Duterte’s defense team in the oral arguments.

“Atty. Michael Poa will deliver the oral arguments for the defense, your honor,” defense lead counsel Sheila Sison said.

Each side is given 15 minutes to present its arguments before senator-judges may raise questions and vote on the disputed threshold.
